~ Restoration through Recreation ~
Sal y Roca is all about inviting youth to discover new possibilities for themselves in the outdoors and building relationships. Whether it’s learning how to swim, stand up on a wave for the first time, or reach the top of a hard climb, the underlying impact is an experience of shared success and empowerment.

Adventure
Our programs teach trust, self-discipline, perseverance and overcoming fears – experiential lessons which apply to everyday life.
Connection
We practice and model care for the environment and each other. When youth encounter joy and connection in nature, they also open their eyes to the importance of protecting the natural world for everyone.
Mentorship
The core of our work is building mentor relationships. Every young person has a need to feel loved and supported by caring adults in their life. We seek to cultivate a community of love and support in all that we do.

We are a faith-based non-profit organization, rooted in the belief that restoration is a gift from God who loves all people and invites us to find true life in Him. Inspired by Jesus of Nazareth, we welcome, love and serve others regardless of religion, race, orientation or culture.
Our roots started as Aleph Baja, a branch of Aleph Surf International which began in 2007 (Aleph – the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet signifying beginning and foundation). Head over to the site to learn more about the organization as a whole.
